"A tight and juicy red with blackberry and black cherry character.

Medium bodied tannic and focused."

A silky and polished Pauillac with currant, blueberry and firm tannins. Full. the vintage.

Strong wood flavors that are surpressing the fruit at this stage. This seems very Cabernet heavy, with its black currant fruit and firm structure.

Dark purple red with violet hue and black core. Expressive nose, black-currants, blackberries, dark chocolate, toasted oak, in the background gingerbread spices.

Crisp red fruits, medium-bodied with a good amount of rustic tannins and cassis in the finish.

Densité des pauillac, générosité de fruits et trame tanique veloutée à souhait.

Particularly dark. Beguiling ripeness on the nose. Pretty evolved but very pretty and charming. Far from a typical long-lived Pauillac, but it should give pleasure. And under all that fruit there is quite a bit of tannin!

The hot-stone and cassis character is prevalent in this young red. Full body, firm and silky tannins and a flavorful finish. A wet-stone undertone to the wine. Very well done for the vintage. Drink in 2022.

Features lovely typicity with a sleek iron edge leading the way, followed by a mix of gently macerated red and black currant fruit, bay leaf and wam stone notes. Shows and old-school side of the fleshy finish, where the iron element keeps playing out. Best from 2018 through 2024.

Not to be confused with the third wine of a famous First Growth, the 2015 Château Pauillac is actually a cuvée from the holdings of Château Fonbadet, designed to be a special wine under the consultancy of Michel Rolland. Coming in a suitably heavier bottle than Fonbadet, it has a ripe blackberry, tobacco and oyster shell, almost estuarine bouquet that is well defined and full of character. The palate is medium-bodied with a saltiness on the entry, very structured and masculine, tobacco and allspice decorating the voluminous finish. It is certainly an impressive wine and superior to Fonbadet, although more finesse by the time it is in bottle would not go amiss.

There’s a blueberry and dark berry quality with refined tannins and beautiful fruit. Full-bodied, tight and sexy. An incredible new wine from Pauillac near Pontet-Canet and Mouton.

This solid wine is endowed with great fruit. Juicy and perfumed, its black currant flavors are lifted into the realm of deliciousness by crisp, lively acidity. At the same time, the tannins suggest long term potential for this fine wine.

The wine is dark, fat, ripe, sweet, fleshy and low in acid, especially for this vintage

Beau !

The 2016 Château Pauillac is one of the hidden jewels of the year. Ripe, juicy and voluptuous, it possesses striking depth and lushness. Ripe red cherry, plum, lavender, spice and new leather are all pushed forward. Sexy and racy to the core, the 2016 is flat-out gorgeous. Above all else, it is a wine of pure and total pleasure. I loved it.

"A tight and very focused wine from here that is diales in with dark fruit and pretty tannins.

Medium body and a fresh finish.

Showing its real potential."
